I work with athletes by designing training plans which maximize the ROI (Return On Investment) of their available training time with workouts aimed at improving performance for their target event. After an initial consultation, we will perform a number of assessments in person or via video, and often both. Based on those assessments and the athlete’s target event(s) we identify performance strengths and limiters. Then we work together to develop a training plan to address their limiters, always scheduled around their time availability.

The primary way I work is by creating individualized/custom plans per athlete. Working with your specific time availability, focusing on the areas you most want/need improvement, paying attention to your injury history, and monitoring your training stress across all 3 sports. 

In order to do this, I will need to know some details about you.  This starts with an athlete self-assessment questionnaire followed by an interview, either face-to-face or via Skype. After that if there is mutual agreement on going forward, then we will perform some benchmark tests to set starting points for training. Then based upon available training schedule and target event(s), I’ll develop a season long training plan with the goal to have you arrive at your target race fit and fresh.

I place a priority on keeping athletes injury free and healthy.

Weekly training sessions are delivered via Training Peaks, and workout session tracking is likewise in Training Peaks.

If instead of a training plan, you are looking for coaching on specific aspects, such as swimming improvement or run efficiency I can do that as well.

Finally, I can also consult on specific topics such as race day fueling or cycling power analysis on an ad hoc basis.
